Description Family Asteraceae Originating from the USA The granddaddy of Rudbeckias. Its enormous clump of many strong stems bears handsome, pointed foliage. It is crowned by a canopy of shining citrus yellow pollinators pantry blooms, each with a protruding central dome of disc florets. The dark, contrasting cone of buds opens from the bottom upwards to reveal their inner golden colour, making a firework-like display atop the drooping petals. Each stem bears a single flower at its tip, making a swaying mass of colour all summer and autumn. Easy to grow in any free-draining soil in full sun. Height and spread after 1 – 5 years 2.5m x 1.5m
